We will print artwork and/or text that you upload onto the front of our 8 oz. flask. Exceptions : we do not engrave the backs of the flasks nor can we engrave trademarked images, logos, or slogans without permission. The 8 oz. flask measures approximately 5 1/4" high x 3 3/4" wide x 7/8" deep. The engravable image area measures approximately 3" wide x 4 1/4" high. Use our custom design tool to upload your art – click the “Customize Flask” button at the upper right hand side of this page (acceptable file formats: jpg, tif, png, gif, bmp - maximum file size: 12Mb). You can experiment with different artwork and/or text layouts before ordering. Once you have finished editing the flask and have the desired layout, click the “Save & Add To Basket” button to finalize the purchase. Artwork Criteria: Laser engraving works best with simple black and white line art or clip art. The engraver cannot duplicate color or shades of gray, so when you upload your image the program will automatically convert it to black. Quality original artwork is key to a good imprint. The larger your artwork is the better it will turn out when engraved. It is better to take a large image and reduce it to fit the flask than it is to try and enlarge a small image. Artwork measuring at least 4 to 6 inches wide, with a resolution of at least 150 pixels per inch works best. Small images or artwork with a low pixel resolution will likely become very pixilated or “jagged” when uploaded. Using Photographs: What most people think of as a black and white photograph is actually considered “grayscale”, meaning it is comprised of different shades of gray. Because the laser cannot duplicate shades of gray, photographs lose a lot of detail when converted and generally do not work as well as line art or drawings. You can always experiment with different artwork and layouts before making an order. Once you have the desired layout click on the Save & Add to Basket button to finalize the order.
